Develop and execute social media strategies supporting UWIT goals and initiatives
Manage UWIT’s LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram presence
Create graphics, photos, videos, stories, and written posts
Maintain UWIT brand identity across communications
Develop content calendars and coordinate campaign schedules
Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages
Analyze engagement metrics and recommend strategies to increase reach and effectiveness
Collaborate with UWIT leadership and departments to identify stories, achievements, events, and initiatives for promotion
Create digital and print marketing materials, including flyers, posters, brochures, event materials, infographics, digital signage content, and social media campaigns
Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
Assist with photography, event promotion, and content collection
Coordinate with University Relations and campus partners on branding and messaging
Provide limited administrative and executive support to the Vice President for Information Technology & CIO
Manage executive calendars using Microsoft Outlook
Schedule meetings and coordinate meeting logistics
Assist with presentations, reports, and communication materials
Coordinate travel, event, and meeting arrangements
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and communications
Support special projects and administrative functions
Requirements
Experience managing social media accounts
Experience creating marketing and communications materials for multiple audiences
Experience using graphic design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent software
Experience designing materials for both print and digital formats
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field (desired)
Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or public-sector communications (desired)
Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools (desired)
Experience creating short-form video content and reels (desired)
Photography and basic video editing experience (desired)
Familiarity with university branding and communications standards (desired)
Experience supporting senior executives or organizational leaders (desired)
