Right now, were searching for a Senior Copywriter to help us accelerate the climb for the national brands we serve.Description: As a Senior Copywriter at Common Good, youll take ownership of concept development and copy execution from brief through final delivery, leading brainstorms and shaping the creative territories that fuel our clients success. Youll be guided by the Creative Director but trusted to make significant creative decisions on your own, and youll be expected to mentor and sharpen the craft of more junior writers along the way. We operate in a highly collaborative environment, so youll be asked to take suggestions from others openly and produce your very best work on a daily basis. Conceptual leadership is a must, as this position will require thinking on all levels from headline to campaign platform to the writers around you. As an agency that works in every form of media, youll be participating in and often leading all aspects of our integrated output.Youll do:Lead brainstorms and generate channel-specific creative ideas, owning campaign copy from concept through final QA with full autonomy.Partner with creative and cross-functional teams to co-create integrated concepts, adapting your style and approach to fit team and project needs.Shape nuanced brand voice across formats, campaigns and sub-brands, ensuring consistency and distinctiveness at scale.Translate insight and strategy into high-impact language, sharpening briefs and guiding team alignment around messaging.Edit and elevate the work of peers and junior writers for clarity, brevity and creative polish across all channels.Demonstrate mastery of writing across platforms video, print, digital, social, activations, packaging and more with equal ease.Uphold brand integrity and craftsmanship across deliverables, elevating quality and pushing for award-worthy work.Lead copy presentations and build compelling narratives around the work for internal teams and directly to clients.Generate multiple, differentiated executions per assignment and articulate the rationale behind each.Lead concept and copy direction across campaigns and brands, building big creative platforms in close collaboration with the Creative Director.Stay sharp on emerging media formats and proactively suggest how to apply them in campaigns.Mentor junior writers through informal coaching and review, supporting their creative growth and performance.Accept and integrate feedback with professionalism while maintaining ownership of your craft.Consistently manage projects to hit deadlines while balancing creativity and executional excellence.Youll have:5+ years of agency or in-house copywriting experience with a proven portfolio that demonstrates conceptual leadership, versatility across channels and campaigns and polished execution.Demonstrated ability to lead brainstorms and generate channel-specific creative concepts that align to strategy.Experience mentoring or managing junior writers, with a track record of supporting their growth and performance.Proven ownership of campaign copy from concept through final QA, translating strategy and insight into high-impact language.A track record of leading presentations and building narratives around the work for internal teams and clients.Exceptional editing skills, with the ability to elevate the work of peers and junior writers while managing multiple projects.Familiarity with integrated campaign development and experience writing across a variety of media channels.Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new platforms and evolving best practices in marketing and advertising.A collaborative, solution-oriented approach paired with the initiative to take ownership of projects.Tenacity, curiosity and passion for storytelling that inspires both colleagues and clients.A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and genuine willingness to take on the full range of agency work from big campaign ideas to the less glamorous assignments that simply need to get done.
