Part-time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a boy in my twenties living with my family in the Barry area. I have learning disabilities and I can be quiet at first. I have limited awareness of road dangers, so close supervision is needed. I like animals especially horses beach. I enjoy visiting the beach, farms, going bowling, to the cinema and penny arcades. I like eating in McDonalds and Burger King.
PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me to access the community with activities I enjoy.
HOURS OF WORK

4 hours per week, to be worked in the afternoons
RATES OF PAY

£15.45 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED

Accompany me on community outings and activities.
Drive me to places such as the beach, farms, bowling, the cinema, penny arcades, McDonald's, and Burger King.
Provide support and encouragement while in the community.
Assist with personal care, including helping him bathe once a week
Ensure his safety at all times, particularly as he has limited awareness of road dangers.
Promote his independence and social interaction.
Help him explore new hobbies and activities
ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
