Title: Visual Designer
Location: SF office preferred/ Open to fully remote, but candidate must work PST or MST hours
Work Type: Hybrid
Contract: 5-month W2 contract
Pay: $160-$195/hour on W2
Interview Process: 3 rounds
Must include Samples/Portfolio to be shortlisted
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain design systems; revamp brand guidelines and templates so other teams/designers can use them self-serve
Design storyboards and visual elements for educational/product videos, working closely with motion designers (icons, graphics, and custom visuals that match video content/tone)
Pull imagery from brand guidelines and align it with video content - including figuring out how to present material for a technical audience
Create a reusable template/system for video and visual content production
Strong candidates may also have
Experience in edtech, instructional design, or curriculum development
Background specifically in motion graphics or animation for explainer or educational content
Experience partnering closely with subject matter experts to distill technical material
Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
Experience extending or adapting an established design system into a new content area, rather than only working within one that's already fully defined
Illustration skills
Must-haves
Strong design systems experience
Good art direction / visual sense - knows where things should live and how they should look
Can collaborate effectively with motion designers (does not need to know motion graphics themselves)
Must include Samples/Portfolio to be shortlisted
