Senior Director, CommunicationsVisit Napa Valley is seeking a seasoned communications leader to build and lead the organization's communications function.Visit Napa Valley® is the official destination marketing and management organization for Napa County. We promote the region as an attractive travel destination and enhance its public image as a dynamic place to visit, live, and work. Primary funding for our activities and programs comes from a Tourism Improvement District (TID) special assessment on overnight lodging guests. Additional funding is provided through partnerships with visitor-serving businesses throughout Napa County, and retail sales in the Napa Valley Visitor Center.This is a senior role with meaningful scope: you will hire and develop one full-time team member, direct agency partners, and own the strategy and performance of community public affairs, industry relations, consumer and trade media relations, and social media management, for one of the world's most recognized travel and wine destinations.Reporting to the CEO & President and working closely with the VP Marketing & Sales, and senior leadership team, the Senior Director of Communications will serve as VNV's communications strategist, shaping how Napa Valley is perceived by community stakeholders, visitors, media, and the broader travel and hospitality industry. This role requires someone who leads with political acumen, editorial instinct, thinks in strategy, and executes with precision.
