Seeking a creative and organized Associate Editor for Licensed Publishing, this full-time remote position will manage licensed publishing projects, develop new opportunities, and collaborate with authors and licensors to produce compelling books for young readers.
Key Responsibilities

Manage assigned licensed publishing projects from manuscript development through publication, ensuring adherence to editorial standards and licensor requirements
Identify, develop, and acquire new projects with a focus on commercial opportunities and emerging trends in the MG and YA marketplace
Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, agents, and licensors while managing project schedules and approvals

Required Qualifications

3+ years of editorial experience in trade publishing, with a track record of independently managing books or comparable projects
Strong editorial judgment and ability to provide substantive feedback
Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple deadlines
Strong interest in children's and young adult publishing, popular culture, and franchise storytelling
Experience with licensed publishing and working with licensors is a plus
