Seeking a creative and highly organized Associate Editor for Licensed Publishing, this full-time remote position will manage a selection of licensed publishing projects, provide editorial feedback, and develop new publishing opportunities in collaboration with authors, agents, and licensors.
Key Responsibilities

Manage assigned licensed publishing projects from manuscript development through publication, ensuring adherence to editorial standards and licensor requirements
Identify, develop, and acquire new projects with a focus on commercial opportunities and emerging trends in the MG and YA marketplace
Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, agents, and licensors, serving as a key liaison throughout the publishing process

Required Qualifications

3+ years of editorial experience in trade publishing with a track record of managing books or comparable projects
Strong editorial judgment and ability to provide substantive feedback
Excellent organizational and project-management skills to handle multiple deadlines
Strong interest in children's and young adult publishing, popular culture, and franchise storytelling
Experience with licensed publishing and working with licensors is a plus
