Sr. Public Relations Manager Job at Ladders in New York

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Public Relations Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will lead proactive earned media efforts that elevate the organization’s reputation across tech, SaaS, and nonprofit audiences. You will partner closely with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to shape messaging, secure meaningful coverage, and respond quickly to timely news opportunities. The position also plays a key role in evaluating outreach performance, strengthening reporter relationships, and supporting awards and thought leadership initiatives.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $100,500 – $167,600 annually
Responsibilities

Own and develop the organization’s proactive earned media strategy
Manage media relations and build connections with reporters in relevant sectors
Evaluate and adjust pitch strategies based on outreach impact and AI insights
Write and secure placement for bylines, op-eds, and press releases with executives
Quickly respond to news cycles and opportunities for trendjacking
Coordinate awards submissions and gather necessary materials
Track media placements and analyze coverage effectiveness
Qualifications

8+ years in public or media relations, preferably with B2B, SaaS, or tech experience
Proven ability to secure media placements and evaluate story potential
Established connections with tech, SaaS, and nonprofit journalists
Strong writing skills in pitches, bylines, op-eds, and press releases
Ability to act swiftly on trendjacking opportunities
Familiarity with AI tools for media and content management
Experience collaborating with C-suite executives on messaging
