Are you a senior marketing and growth leader who knows how to turn customer or member insights into engagement, retention and revenue growth?

We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Marketing & Growth to join the executive leadership team of a highly respected statewide membership organization serving a vital sector of Iowa's economy and communities.

This is much more than a traditional marketing role.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded executive who can connect marketing, membership, communications, brand, data and growth — identifying new opportunities, strengthening member value and helping an established organization continue to evolve.

Association or membership-organization experience is highly desirable. Healthcare or long-term care experience is NOT required.

What You'll Lead
As SVP of Marketing & Growth, you will report directly to the President & CEO and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

Your impact will include:

Developing and leading the organization's overall marketing and growth strategy

Creating positioning, packaging and go-to-market strategies that increase participation and revenue across programs, products and services

Identifying new products, services and market opportunities based on member needs and market demand

Leading member engagement and retention strategy

Using CRM/AMS data, analytics, surveys and member feedback to identify engagement trends and retention opportunities

Developing business partner and sponsorship marketing strategies

Leading enterprise-wide brand, communications, media and reputation strategy

Advancing digital and AI-enabled marketing strategies

Overseeing media relations and crisis communications

Supporting advocacy, legislative and stakeholder communications

Leading workforce and employer-brand marketing initiatives

Developing and mentoring an established marketing and communications team

Managing the marketing and communications budget, agencies and outside partners

Reporting marketing, growth and member-engagement performance to the Board of Directors

What We're Looking For
We're interested in accomplished leaders who bring a combination of strategic marketing expertise and business-growth thinking .

Ideal candidates will offer:

10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, growth, communications or a related discipline

4–5+ years in senior leadership with responsibility for people, budgets and strategic initiativesDemonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies

Experience translating customer or member needs into products, services, campaigns or revenue opportunities

Strong understanding of how marketing, engagement, products, services and revenue work together

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams

Strong business and financial acumen

Experience managing budgets, agencies and vendor relationships

Experience with media relations and crisis communications

Exposure to CRM/AMS platforms, marketing analytics and digital marketing strategy

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, strategy or a related field

Experience within a trade association, professional association, membership organization or society is especially attractive.

Experience in healthcare, nonprofit organizations, government affairs or another highly regulated industry is also valuable — but you do not need to come from long-term care to be considered.

The Leader We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you're the person who naturally asks:

How do we increase engagement?

What do our members/customers really value?

Where is the next growth opportunity?

How do we turn our data and insights into action?

How can marketing contribute directly to revenue — not simply communications?

You'll need to be strategic enough to advise a CEO and Board, analytical enough to measure results, commercially minded enough to identify growth opportunities, and collaborative enough to bring multiple stakeholders along with you.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible executive position with the ability to influence the future direction of an established statewide organization.

You'll have:

A seat on the executive leadership team

Direct partnership with the President & CEO

Significant influence over organizational growth strategy

An established marketing and communications team to lead

The opportunity to shape member engagement, retention and new growth initiatives

Board-level visibility

The ability to modernize digital, data and AI-enabled marketing strategies

A mission-driven environment where your work has statewide impact
