They are currently growing their team and looking for a Public Relations Assistant who can support media opportunity management, client communications, reporting, and the coordination of public relations activities.

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Virtual Assistant to join GlobalTeam and work with our client as the operational backbone of their public relations team.

In this role, you will manage media opportunities, coordinate content approvals, track deadlines and coverage, maintain accurate reports, and support communication between clients and internal teams. You will also identify creative connections between media requests and client expertise, research emerging opportunities, and help ensure that all PR activities are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor media platforms such as HARO and Qwoted to identify, evaluate, and track relevant opportunities for clients, including less obvious connections between client expertise and reporter requests.

• Coordinate with content teams to ensure PR responses are drafted, reviewed, approved by clients, and submitted within established deadlines.

• Communicate directly with clients to share opportunities for approval, follow up on pending responses, address questions, and maintain timely communication.

• Maintain accurate spreadsheets tracking media opportunities, submission statuses, deadlines, secured coverage, and backlinks.

• Prepare weekly reports summarizing submitted opportunities, media coverage, and backlinks.

• Review editorial calendars to identify upcoming events, important dates, and industry trends that may create new media opportunities.

• Research potential opportunities and present relevant ideas during team meetings, connecting upcoming topics with clients' expertise.

• Review PR responses for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable AI-detection requirements before submission.

• Draft professional emails, internal communications, PR documents, presentations, and media-related materials as needed.

• Support media list building, research, and coordination across teams to improve the efficiency of PR operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities, deadlines, approvals, and competing priorities while maintaining accurate records.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English, with clear, concise, and professional communication skills.

• Experience communicating directly with clients, including following up on pending items, handling questions, and maintaining engagement without unnecessary escalation.

• Ability to follow established processes, workflows, and quality standards consistently.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, accountability, and ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy while working with tight deadlines and time-sensitive requests.

• Proactive research and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify relevant connections between client expertise and media opportunities.

• Experience maintaining spreadsheets, tracking operational activities, and preparing reports.

• Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, aligned with Eastern Time.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote-work environment.

Bonus Points for:

• Experience in public relations, media relations, journalism, or digital marketing agency environments.

• Familiarity with media opportunity platforms such as HARO and Qwoted.

• Knowledge of SEO, link building, backlinks, and digital marketing strategies.

• Experience with AI tools for research and drafting, including reviewing content for quality and compliance with applicable AI-detection requirements.

• Experience managing client relationships and coordinating approvals in an agency or client-service environment.

• Experience building media lists, monitoring editorial calendars, or supporting reporter outreach.

What We Offer:

• Remote work opportunity with an international client.

• Full-time role within a growing digital marketing agency.
