- Strong organizational and administrative skills with working knowledge in the nonprofit sector.
- Experience in art curricula, curating exhibitions, and event planning
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Background in art/art history preferred
Responsibilities :
- Oversee instructors, staff of five, and volunteers
- Manage budgets, while driving revenue
- Collaborate with The Atelier’s board of trustees
- Attend monthly board meetings/ schedule and lead weekly staff meetings
- Serve as the primary ambassador for The Atelier
- Develop partnerships, attend local community events, and build donors
- Fundraising and grant writing for the art school and gallery
- Provide an overall creative vision for the future of The Atelier
Summary: The Director of The Atelier Art School and Gallery oversees educational programming and exhibition curation, requiring a blend of artistic vision and business acumen. They manage staff, budgets, and community partnerships, while driving revenue and curating exhibitions to build a vibrant, sustainable creative environment.
