Amazon Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, Category Managers, Buyers, Retail teams, and other key stakeholders. Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for Amazon business planning, category development, strategic initiatives, and executive-level business reviews. Maintain regular communication with Amazon regarding sales performance, product roadmaps, promotional plans, inventory health, category priorities, and growth opportunities. Monitor changes in Amazon policies, commercial requirements, category strategies, and organizational structures, and communicate relevant implications and actions to internal teams.

Platform Resources and Commercial Growth

Proactively secure Amazon platform resources, including Coupons, Best Deals, Lightning Deals, Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, holiday campaigns, category events, merchandising placements, and special Vendor programs. Lead commercial discussions with Amazon Vendor and Retail stakeholders regarding supply planning, promotional investment, pricing, margins, inventory commitments, payment arrangements, and business-development programs. Negotiate favorable commercial terms, platform support, promotional opportunities, and inventory arrangements that support sustainable revenue growth and profitability. Use sales data, category trends, and competitive insights to develop business cases, growth plans, and resource requests for Amazon. Identify and develop new category, assortment, retail, and strategic-account opportunities.

Cross-Functional and Cross-Border Execution

Act as the primary liaison between U.S.-based Amazon stakeholders and Nightsea's China-based headquarters. Translate Amazon requirements, commercial commitments, and strategic opportunities into clearly defined internal deliverables, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes. Lead cross-functional coordination across Product, Marketing, Brand, Advertising, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Leadership teams. Manage complex initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring promotions, product launches, platform opportunities, and strategic programs are delivered accurately and on schedule.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

Monitor Amazon Vendor Central and Retail performance, including sales, purchase orders, inventory, in-stock levels, conversion, rankings, promotions, returns, and profitability. Prepare recurring management reports covering channel performance, platform-resource acquisition, commercial negotiations, operational issues, risks, and growth opportunities. Analyze competitor pricing, assortment, promotional activity, category performance, and retail positioning to support strategic planning and management decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, International Trade, E-commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field. At least three years of experience in Amazon Vendor management, Amazon Retail, retail partnerships, key account management, or a related commercial function. At least one year of direct, hands-on experience managing Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon 1P, or a brand-side Amazon channel. Demonstrated experience working directly with Amazon Vendor Managers, Buyers, Category Managers, and other Retail stakeholders. Strong working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central processes, including purchase orders, chargebacks, co-op programs, promotions, inventory management, content management, and Retail Analytics. Strong commercial negotiation, relationship management, presentation, and written communication skills. Proven project management capabilities, with experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution. Mandarin Chinese proficiency and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with international cross-border teams across U.S. and China time zones in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience as an Amazon Vendor Manager, Category Manager, Buyer, Category Assistant, or member of an Amazon Retail team. Established professional relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, Buyers, Category Managers, or other Retail stakeholders. Demonstrated success securing Amazon platform resources and converting commercial opportunities into measurable revenue, profitability, or market-share growth. Experience in apparel, consumer products, or other high-volume retail categories. Experience managing or expanding business across Walmart, Target, or other major U.S. retail and marketplace channels.
