Business Development Executive

We’re hiring freight factoring professionals across the U.S. Summar is looking for a Business Development Executive for our Freight Factoring Division, a strong career opportunity at a sales-driven company. Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close and client retention. You’ll bring in new trucking companies, owner-operators and freight brokers through your own prospecting and referral network, then grow those relationships over time. We’re looking for a self-starter who knows the freight industry, closes deals and holds a high standard for accuracy and client experience What Youll Do
Build and manage a full pipeline, and turn leads into funded factoring clients
Find new business through cold calls, email campaigns, social selling, referrals, site visits and new prospecting methods you come up with
Develop referral partners, industry alliances and local trucking networks, and represent Summar at networking events and trade shows
Run discovery, present Summar’s solutions, negotiate terms and close new clients
Guide new clients through onboarding and compliance, so they move smoothly from signed agreement to first funding
Manage and grow your client portfolio to drive retention, purchase volume and long-term growth
Keep accurate, up-to-date records of leads, activities and deals in our CRM (HubSpot)
Know Summar’s freight products (factoring, fuel card and related services) and explain their value clearly
Keep up with the freight market and what competitors offer
Work with the team to meet and beat monthly and quarterly goals
Own your results: solve problems as they come up and adapt when things change
Take on other related duties as assigned What You Bring
At least 2 years of experience in freight industry sales or business development. Experience in freight factoring or transportation finance is a strong plus
A proven record of meeting or beating sales targets
An established network in trucking or logistics, or the ability to build one quickly
Strong reasoning, analytical, organizational and negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, and a strong focus on client service
Comfortable with CRM tools and Microsoft 365. HubSpot experience is a plus
Able to travel as needed to meet prospects and clients and attend industry events
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred What We Offer
