McKenzie Dove is a multidisciplinary design studio, atelier, and gallery based in Birmingham, Alabama, operating at the intersection of interiors, art, collectible design, and curation. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a growing interior design firm and art studio. The ideal candidate is resourceful, eager to learn, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in keeping details organized and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
Working in a retail environment, with social skills to sell and build relationships with clients.
Daily cleaning and maintenance, breaking down boxes, watering plants, keeping a retail space presentable.
Assisting with day-to-day business needs and special projects.
Support scheduling and meeting-related tasks, including coordinating calendars, preparing meeting materials, organizing logistics, and tracking follow-up items.
Assist with the day-to-day administrative needs of the studio and shop to help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Organize and track invoices, receipts, reimbursements, and expense documentation, helping ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly filed.
Assist with financial and operational recordkeeping.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including preparing shipping documentation, tracking deliveries, communicating with vendors and carriers, coordinating delivery logistics, and helping resolve shipment-related issues as needed.
