Ailes Channels Trump With Apprentice Program
FNC CEO Roger Ailes created the program in 2003, and executives within the network make recommendations and serve as mentors to their apprentices. FNC has allotted $900,000 for the positions so far. "I didn't think enough minorities were getting access to the system," said Ailes in the article. "If there aren't a lot of people they know inside, then they don't necessarily have the same access as others." Since 2003, Ailes has said, "you're hired," to 16 of the apprentices, who now serve in roles from guest booker to news writer with the network. Email This Post |
