Shep Goes off on Naomi Wolf
In an interview with Naomi Wolf during Studio B today, Smith took umbrage with Wolf's characterization of the Republican race as "three white guys" and her insinuations about the War in Iraq. Smith: "I'm going to shut this down. I want to apologize for pointing my finger at you. I just get tired of people like you, saying 'every time you're challenged on something that you say that it's something about Fox.' It's not something about Fox. I don't have a horse in this race. And for you to suggest such a thing is both inaccurate and insulting." Smith cut off the interview before Wolf could respond, and moved on to the next story. > Update: The fireworks began even earlier in the interview. Wolf brought up the idea of "holding our nose and walking in the booth" when voting for a Democratic candidate in the past. Smith challenged her on it, and she said, "This is why I love Fox News." Then Smith really went off: "No, no, no. That is unfair. You said it, I didn't say it! You said you were holding your nose when you went in the booth, and I asked you when. That's fair. And anybody who doesn't ask you that is not being fair. I'd like an answer please. You did it. Don't you 'Fox' on me. Ever." > Update, update: Johnny Dollar has the video... Email This Post |
