The Business of Buffett
The Buffett TV buffet began around 8amET this morning, as CNBC's Becky Quick caught up with him on his way out the door. "Wasn't sure if this was going to work or not. But we are standing live with Warren Buffet, the Oracle of Omaha, and can we grab you for a few minutes?" she began, live on the air. Buffett agreed, and Quick proceeded to ask him his advice for several people, from Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke to Sen. John McCain.
Dubbed the "$120 Billion Interview" in the lower third, Claman got the first opportunity to ask Gates about the failed Microsoft/Yahoo deal. One interesting note — Yahoo chairman Sue Decker also serves on the BH board. "Sue and I didn't talk about the deal because Steve Ballmer and Jerry Yang were handling that, and so I was able to focus on my Berkshire activities," said Gates. The nearly 45 minute interview was followed almost immediately by another big Claman get — Decker herself. The Buffett coverage doesn't end there — tonight, CNBC airs their behind-the-scenes special, "The Billionaire Next Door: All Access," tonight at 9pmET. Email This Post |
