Nick Kristof Thinks HLN ‘Can Do Better’

New York Times Op-Ed columnist Nick Kristof is in Vietnam shooting a documentary for his “Half the Sky” project. He flipped on the TV Saturday morning and felt he needed to Tweet this:

Kristof then asked his 1.2 million followers what should HLN be called. Some of the ideas:

Scare the Heck out of White People Channel
The Amber Alert Network for White Women
“Nancy Grace Yells” channel

Kristof then got a Tweet from HLN morning anchor @RobinMeade: have u ever tuned in for my morning show the last few years? Kristof’s response: I’m not sure. Am I being unfair to the whole channel?

Here’s the bottom line: HLN has its place. But the primetime is not programmed for people like Nick Kristof. His point:
