FNC Ties Palin's Speech Ratings As Top in Cable History
And just as the first two nights, more people watched the McCain speech last night on Fox News than any other network, broadcast or cable. FNC had 9.2 million viewers at 10pmET, the same as the night before for Gov. Sarah Palin's acceptance speech. NBC improved from Wednesday night, with 8.7 million tuning in last night. ABC was 3rd with 6 million viewers, followed by CBS with 5.3 million, CNN with 4.8 million and MSNBC with 2.5 million. FNC's prime time average last night (including part one of Bill O'Reilly's Obama interview) averaged 7.4 million viewers, making it the highest-rated prime time convention coverage in the network's history, and the third highest-rated prime time average in FNC history (behind the 2004 election night and a 2004 debate).
