You're passionate about storytelling, skilled at breaking down narratives, and thrive in fast-moving environments. You understand how to craft a “hook,” deliver emotional payoffs, and fine-tune scripts for clarity and impact. If you’re both creative and execution-driven, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and break down scripts (60–120 seconds per episode) to assess logic, pacing, emotional hook strength, and market appeal
- Collaborate with executive producers to enhance story structure, character arcs, and cliffhanger execution
- Polish scripts for grammar, tone, dialogue flow, and formatting to meet audience and platform standards
- Provide clear, actionable editorial feedback to writers and production teams
- Ensure all scripts are localized and culturally appropriate for U.S. and global English-speaking audiences
- Occasionally pitch story concepts or draft sample scripts
- Stay updated on audience trends and storytelling strategies through regular platform analysis
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in screenwriting, script editing, or development (vertical short drama highly preferred)
- Excellent diagnostic and editing skills—know how to fix pacing, plot, or emotional clarity fast
- Familiarity with mobile-first storytelling formats and episodic structure
- Strong command of tone, grammar, and punchy dialogue
- Extensive knowledge of short-form platforms like Reelshort, Dramabox, Shortmax, etc.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and currently based in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with “feel-good” or emotionally satisfying story structures
- Prior work in fast-paced, high-output content teams
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in cross-cultural environments
If you're ready to help shape the future of mobile storytelling with global reach, apply now and create content that resonates.
