Kissed by Tulips is a luxury flower shop located in the heart of Costa Mesa, specializing in contemporary floral design. We are currently seeking a versatile team member to fulfill the roles of Receptionist/Shop Assistant & Social Media Coordinator. Our ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, creative, and proactive. As a small business, team members are expected to support the shop's collective goal of creating and delivering high-quality, original, and beautiful florals. Please note: This is not a Designer position.

Responsibilities

Social Media Content Creator

• Be creative and organized
• Stay up-to-date with current social media trends
• Manage and maintain all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest)
• Maintain the shop's brand and aesthetic
• Implement marketing strategies and trends within our network
• Take photographs and edit photos (Canon + iPhone) using apps like Tezza, LightRoom Mobile, VSCO, Instagram, Apple Photo Editing
• Edit videos on iPhone (CapCut, InShot, etc.)
• Create Reels and TikToks
• Design and navigate templates in Canva
• Assist with proposal designs in Canva
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors (events, magazines, planners, etc.)
• Handle email marketing and phone call marketing
• Network with current and potential clients/vendors (outreach)

Receptionist/Shop Assistant

• Answer phone calls and assist customers
• Place orders and process transactions
• Clean and organize the store
• Deliver flowers using shop vans
• Set up and take down seasonal decor
• Lift flowers and buckets
• Clean buckets and process florals
• Organize coolers and storage
• Be available for events, including some weekends, holidays, and after-hours (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
• Greet clients and handle inquiries
• Check and respond to emails, return customer calls
• Receive, inspect, and store flowers
• Assist customers at checkout using our POS system
• Make local deliveries as needed
• Travel to wedding and event sites when required
• Maintain a flexible work schedule
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Lift 15-25 lbs, carry buckets of water, move large floral pieces
• Climb ladders as needed
• Maintain daily operations, including cleaning and stocking supplies
• Update Shopify and DoorDash platforms regularly
• Respond to Yelp messages and reviews

Skills

• Basic computer skills, including processing and typing
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Professional, courteous interaction with clients and vendors
