The Event Producer Position pays $45k - $55k, receives commission, and may work parties for additional pay upon completion of the probationary period.

POSITION SUMMARY : Established in 1989, Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design (TICED) has created exceptional dining experiences at venues in South Florida for over 30 years. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Event Producer to support our Sales Team. This salaried role supports the Senior Event Producer in selling, creating, and coordinating catered events. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working in a team, and be able to lead and motivate team members. The role requires being detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent must be a self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility, working under the direction of the President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

The following are representative of the core functions but are not exhaustive. Duties may change or be added as needed.

  1. Plan and coordinate weddings, socials, and corporate events at various venues.
  2. Supervise Catering & Event Assistants.
  3. Contact potential customers during qualifying calls.
  4. Prepare and write proposals using Caterese software.
  5. Use All Seated software for event floor plans.
  6. Incorporate production elements like lighting, entertainment, and design requests.
  7. Coordinate tastings to demonstrate food and preparation requests.
  8. Obtain client confirmation, send contracts and invoices, and collect payments.
  9. Place rental orders and ensure accuracy to prevent issues on event day.
  10. Coordinate with scheduling, operations, and kitchen departments.
  11. Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure flawless event execution.
  12. Confirm setup, seating, and staffing with scheduling.
  13. Follow up weekly with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  14. Maintain and update proposals and party files.
  15. Coordinate vendor load-in and load-out times.
  16. Conduct event walkthroughs, noting setup details with checklists, photos, and notes.
  17. Ensure proper execution of all event details during setup.
  18. Follow up post-event to confirm client satisfaction.
  19. Participate in post-event assessment meetings.
  20. Create invoices, process payments, and negotiate with vendors.
  21. Ensure timely receipt of payments.
  22. Prepare vendor invoices for accounting approval.
  23. Meet and exceed sales goals.
  24. Attend networking events to promote the company and generate leads.
  25. Stay informed of industry trends.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
  • Represent the company at conferences, print ads, networking events, bridal shows, etc., to promote the brand and attract clients.
  • Enhance the company's reputation by taking ownership of new requests and adding value to events.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Catering, Business Management, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of hospitality, event planning, or catering experience.
  • Experience with catering software (e.g., Caterese or All Seated) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and strong communication skills (bilingual preferred).
