Position Summary Assist faculty with the educational technology used in distance learning and traditional courses, the technology-based design and redesign of courses, and applying instructional design principles. Salary : Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E1, Grade 2: $50,680 - $68,169 (Salary within this range is determined by your documented years of full-time related work experience)

Work Hours : Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Work with faculty to utilize instructional technology in the design and development of online and traditional courses. Support the online learning environment through training and implementation, and promote the expanded use of Learning Management System tools. Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. Utilize instructional technology including, but not limited to, the learning management system, lecture capture platforms, and multimedia authoring tools. Act as liaison between the Distance Learning department and academic divisions to determine needs for distance learning courses and coordinate quality assurance. Perform all duties with professionalism. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is

required . A minimum of two years related work experience is

required . Strong technical skills and expertise in a Learning Management System and/or multimedia authoring tools is

required . Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments:

Ability to work independently or on a team. Expertise with Canvas and Kaltura. Experience implementing standards such as Quality Matters. Teaching experience and/or experience leading professional development courses or workshops. Ability to work and communicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and explain complex information in simple terms. Ability to utilize email systems to communicate information. Ability to work with minimal supervision/work independently. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to operate in a professional manner at all times. Conscientious- care about how work is done and wanting to do a good job. Initiative- responding to downtime by taking responsibility to do other work. A focus on details. A focus on being friendly and patient in responding to customer need. Willingness and desire to learn new things and apply that learning. Willingness to maintain flexibility in order to meet customer needs. Ability to develop online courses in both English and Spanish preferred. A positive attitude regardless of circumstances at hand. Confidence in decision-making and communication skills. Experience with project management tools.

Tuition Assistance This tuition waiver program is designed for all full-time instructional and non-instructional employees of The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education and their dependents as defined under by policy. The program will be coordinated by each institution for employees within The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education.
