About the Role

What We’re Searching For: An ambitious and professional individual with a desire to gain knowledge in the construction industry. The ideal candidate would be capable of working with minimal supervision but willing to follow directions closely. He/She should be excited to learn new skills and enjoy working within a close and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities of Our General Laborers

• Assist skilled workers as assigned, including demolition, carrying lumber, or construction tasks.
• Operate Mini Excavator and Hydro Excavator as needed.
• Unload and distribute materials like lumber or cement bags to designated locations.
• Prepare layout areas by measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
• Prepare tools and materials for skilled workers, such as mixing cement or preparing flooring.
• Clean and prepare specific jobsite areas, including digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, or clearing debris.
• Operate various hand and power tools.
• Direct traffic near work zones.
• Assist equipment operators with machinery alignment, movement, or adjustments.
• Clean the jobsite at day’s end, disposing of trash and storing materials properly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Perform basic arithmetic for inventory and counting tasks.

Our Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To:

• Have the physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina for various tasks.
• Lift and carry up to 80 pounds; push/pull 50-pound loads.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Stand and walk up to ten hours daily, climbing stairs while carrying 40-60 pounds.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Education and Experience

• Prior construction or excavator experience preferred but not required.

Job Details

Type: Full-time

Location: Western Slope (Silt, CO Area)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, Fridays as needed

Salary: $20/hr - $28/hr depending on experience. Health Insurance and 401K after probation.

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Schedule: 10-hour shifts

Experience: Basic math and construction experience (preferred)

License: Driver’s License required
