What you'll do

  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace.
  • Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, setting goals, and measuring progress.
  • Lead and develop teams through training, feedback, and collaboration across store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction; implement business changes and communicate objectives clearly.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by modeling standards, supporting customer service initiatives, resolving issues, and driving process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics, support the Open Door Policy, and apply values in business processes.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and managing inventory, merchandising, and shrink reduction in the designated area.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive work environment, promote a culture of belonging, and support talent attraction and development.
  • Maintain integrity, accountability, and alignment with Walmart values; communicate objectives and expectations to teams.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Salary information: The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure, depending on location and factors.
