Design Leadership:
Oversee the interior design process—from programming and concept development to documentation and project closeout—while leading the team to create inspiring, tailored design concepts for each client and project. Valuable Asset:
Collaborate with architects to develop project programming, space planning, and conceptual designs, delivering innovative solutions that align with client goals and industry standards. Communication:
Effectively convey and present design concepts to project teams, including the Partner-in-Charge, Design Director, Project Architect, and Design/Production staff. Mentorship:
Guide and support junior designers and project teams; foster growth through feedback and collaboration Project Management:
Manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver quality on time Collaboration:
Conduct meetings to present proposed design concepts, communicating ideas clearly to clients and peers. Creative Development:
Lead space planning, material and finish selections, FF&E, lighting, and cohesive design narratives Technical Excellence:
Direct and assist in producing construction documents and redlines Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors; manage specs and submittals Construction Administration:
Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, support punch lists, and ensure design intent is met Continuous Improvement:
Stay current on codes, best practices, and emerging technologies; share knowledge with the team Tools:
Use Revit and related software to develop and communicate design solutions Qualifications
Must-have: Bachelor\'s degree in Interior Design or Architecture 10+ years of experience delivering complex, high-profile interior design projects Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, and rendering software Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and travel to project/client sites Deep knowledge of architectural drawings, building codes, and interior-related regulations; solid understanding of business and construction processes Nice-to-have: Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ) K-12 or Higher Ed interior design experience Ready to apply?
