Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and communicating goals and objectives.
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores to provide feedback, and collaborating with all levels regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Provide customer service leadership by modeling OBW standards, supporting customer service initiatives, resolving customer issues, and implementing action plans for service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support Open Door Policy and guide others in applying these practices to business processes.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, merchandising, inventory flow, and implementing actions to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Promote a culture of respect and integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement; uphold Walmart values and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
  • Support the customer-first mindset, decision making based on reliable information, and continuous improvement through new technologies and skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities selling only ammunition: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Associates must attend and complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional information

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses; certain positions may have location-based or other compensation structures.
