The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects AP English Literature and Composition tutors with students nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions in AP English Literature and Composition.
• Adapt lessons to students’ learning styles and needs.
• Prepare instructional materials and engage students using the platform’s tools.
• Provide instruction remotely and use platform features to support learning.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; platform handles payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition; ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation, Scheduling, and Tools

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
