Court Reporter - Miles City - VA VISN-19 | Montana VA Health Care System
Position: Full-time contract with ProSidian for the Montana VA Health Care System, supporting Government - Federal sector engagements.
Overview
ProSidian seeks a Court Reporter to provide accurate and timely court reporting services in support of the Western States Network Consortium for the Miles City, MT area.
Responsibilities
- Provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
- Support program and project management activities in a functional area with educational and practical experience.
- Produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses; administer oaths as required; accommodate turn-around requests from the client; and ensure work products are thorough and compliant with established criteria.
- Maintain professional demeanor, punctuality, and appropriate equipment and materials to perform duties and deliverables.
- Use English proficiently to read portions of transcripts and clarify inaudible statements when requested; familiarity with AIB, MSPB, or arbitration hearings is preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of court reporting experience.
- Certification as National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent (state certification or other licensure acceptable); appropriate credentials must be provided upon request.
- Competent in English; able to read and transcribe portions of the transcript; operate necessary equipment; deliver accurate, properly bound, and indexed transcripts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools; able to communicate via email; capable of using required technology for the position.
- Ability to bend, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; physical requirements as described for performance of duties.
- U.S. citizenship; eligible for facility access authorization; able to undergo background investigations as required; security clearance considerations may apply.
Travel and Location
- Occasional travel may be required; travel coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing in advance, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
- Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to the Montana VA Health Care System.
