Community Manager – Responsibilities Oversee the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager.
Manage all phases of operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, & risk management.
Supervise on-site staff to ensure compliance with Asset Living policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.
Lead on-site operations, ensuring excellent customer service and staff performance through training and coaching.
Develop and implement resident retention programs; effectively show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
Deal with resident complaints and requests to ensure resident satisfaction.
Plan and manage administrative and leasing reporting; ensure timely reporting and documentation.
Head the emergency team for the property; coordinate proper response to property emergencies within guidelines to minimize liability.
Maintain property appearance, conduct regular inspections, and ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
Manage vendor relations, obtain bids, and monitor costs and service quality.
Education/Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or four years’ experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements Regularly communicate with others; may require repetitive motions and the ability to assess accuracy and thoroughness of work; may require overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies).
Ability to remain stationary, or move as needed, and work in various environments.
Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and perform tasks in confined spaces; lift and move objects up to 25 lbs; operate machinery or vehicles as needed.
License/Equipment Must have reliable transportation due to emergency on-call requirement.
Compensation Salary Range: $58,000 per year to $60,000 per year.
