Your Responsibilities:
As a Music Educator, you will cultivate an engaging, supportive, and secure learning atmosphere where students can truly flourish. You will:
- Deliver music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Establish positive relationships with students and parents through consistent communication, goal-setting, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with store teams to schedule lessons and promote student retention.
- Share your musical knowledge to motivate students and promote their development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in music teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- 8+ years of teaching experience, particularly with multiple instruments (banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice).

Our growth has continued since the 1990s through strategic acquisitions, and we now operate over 225 retail stores, with more than 200 educational representatives and 250 affiliate locations, all under the Guitar Center enterprise based in Frederick, MD.
