Hollywood Baptist Church, a member of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia and The Southern Baptist Convention and Affiliates, is searching for a part time music/worship leader who will serve as the primary person responsible to coordinate the music ministry of Hollywood Baptist Church.

Responsibilities

• Shall develop, organize, and administer the overall Music ministry of the church.
• Be responsible for congregational singing at all worship services.
• Organize choir anthems each week for the Sunday morning service.
• Oversee special music for Sunday services and revivals or other special services.
• Coordinate the musical training programs for the children and youth.
• Be responsible for special music and musicians to be invited for revivals, homecoming and other special events such as weddings and funerals.
• Maintain a library of church music that is neatly organized and filed alphabetically.
• Effectively communicate with the musicians and sound room staff to plan services each week.
• Prepare an annual budget for the Music Ministry to be presented to the Finance Committee for their approval. Final approval will come from the church at the annual business meeting.
• Keep records of copied music as required by the CCLI License.

Qualifications

• A heart of worship and service to God demonstrated through a vibrant prayer life and a life surrendered to Christ.
• Ability to cooperate with all staff to promote unity and oneness and strive to carry out the entire ministry plan of the church.
• Ability and commitment to maintain personal standards of Godliness based on Biblical principles which results in an uncompromised testimony within the church and community from which a credible ministry originates.
• Able to communicate effectively with one-on-one, small and large group settings exhibiting a pleasing attitude that is confident and enthusiastic.
• Must be circumspect in dress and demeanor.
