About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Editorial Performance, a senior leadership role with a global focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and evolving the SEO strategy for the company's brands worldwide, with a particular emphasis on optimizing content for all search engines, including Google channels and answer engines. This role requires a deep knowledge of SEO, significant editorial and affiliate experience, and the ability to quickly formulate and implement strategies that drive audience and revenue. The Executive Director will also be tasked with building relationships, evangelizing strategies, and ensuring the team is at the forefront of the changing search landscape.
Candidates for this position should be forward thinkers, capable of providing clear, big-picture strategies, and have a proven track record in revenue-driving SEO. The role demands an exceptional leader with strong influencing skills, the ability to explain complex issues simply, and a talent for managing a global team. Essential skills include a minimum of 10 years' experience in SEO and editorial roles, technical expertise in data and analysis, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders to drive change. Experience in SEM, paid campaigns, and a background in international markets are also advantageous. The Executive Director will be expected to lead a central team that provides SEO and answer engine training, guidance, and recommendations to the company's brands, and to be a close partner to the SVP of Commerce and the wider shopping team.
