Community Manager – Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager
• Manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management
• Supervise all on-site staff to ensure compliance with Asset Living policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns
• Develop and implement resident retention programs and handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents
• Head emergency team for the property; ensure proper response and handling of all property emergencies within company guidelines
• Maintain property appearance, conduct regular property inspections, and oversee repairs and make-readies
• Plan and utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically; obtain bids from vendors and contractors

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years’ experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Physical Requirements

• Regularly communicate with others; may require repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers; may include working overtime, weekends, and night hours during emergencies
• Frequently remain in a stationary position or move about to accomplish tasks; may be required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, or other elevated areas
• Lift and place objects up to 25 lbs; operate machinery or vehicles as needed; work in various environments and temperatures

Licenses/Equipment

• Must have reliable transportation due to on-call/emergency requirements

Salary Range

$28 per hour to $30 per hour
