A full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support K-12 students across multiple schools. This itinerant position will provide specialized instruction and services to visually impaired students, traveling between seven schools within the assigned region. The role requires onsite presence, allowing for direct interaction with students, staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instructional strategies and accommodations for students with visual impairments. Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust teaching methods effectively. Provide orientation and mobility training as needed. Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines. Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders to support student success. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment or related field. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive instructional techniques. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel between multiple school sites efficiently. Location: Sebring, Florida
