Senior Social Media Advertising Strategist (Remote US)

This role is for a senior strategist focused on social media advertising, collaborating with a boutique agency to develop and execute paid media strategies, primarily for LinkedIn and other social platforms, with a growth-oriented, data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead a collection of social media accounts
  • Serve as direct support to client contacts
  • Weekly communication with vendors or operational partners to ensure alignment on tasks, quality, and improvements
  • Build client strategies each quarter
  • Create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns
  • Provide fractional support for internal marketing within the agency
  • Understand client positioning and unique value propositions
  • Confirm lead routing is accurate within a CRM
  • Maintain personal productivity and utilization
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to achieve internal and client goals
  • Understand the value of programmatic campaigns
  • Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals via client relationships
  • Execute and optimize advertising campaigns within LinkedIn including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting to maximize ROI

What You Offer (Qualifications)

  • 4+ years experience at a performance/digital marketing agency, with hands-on experience supporting B2B clients
  • Deep expertise in paid social advertising campaigns, specifically LinkedIn Ads
  • Understanding of LinkedIn Ad Units (e.g., conversation ads, document ads, CTV, and more)
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms/tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and others
  • Ability to delegate to junior team members for joint success
  • Strong understanding of paid principles: keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, campaign optimization
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics/GA4, Excel, and other analytics platforms
  • Ability to drive results and measure via OCT
  • Experience with audience segmentation by tier, job title, etc.
  • Proven success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data
  • Problem-solver with a curious, competitive mindset

  • Strong time management to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Quality-focused and passionate about advertising
  • Willingness to travel to visit clients approximately once per year, as needed

  • Build client trust creating consistent renewals

  • Clearly communicate results with client contacts and executives
  • Make strong strategic decisions for accounts

  • Salary range: $85,000–$95,000 USD annually, with potential for bonus eligibility; final salary varies by compensation practices, skills, and experience
