Work Location: Onsite position — 1555 W Ogden Ave., Naperville, IL 60540, USA

Responsibilities

• Develop clear and concise operational instructions for process manuals and other documents.
• Collaborate with Core team (operators/union members), safety team, engineers and product managers to understand product specifications and requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions.
• Conduct interviews with and observe work performed by various users (Operators/Union employees) to gather data for documentation (Start-up / Shutdown / Changeovers, etc.).
• Gather photographs and other useful media to enhance and provide visual clarification of documents.

Shift

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in training or equivalent combination of education and experience, or technical writer.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a technical writer or service writer (food industry or related).
• Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality, protocols and processes.
• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading and editing skills along with strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Exceptional ability in creating technical documentation for non-technical persons.
