Refugee Health Promotion Program Coordinator
Location: 202 W French Pl, San Antonio, TX 78210
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Monday – Friday (weekends/evenings as needed)

Description
Under the supervision of Refugee Health Promotion Program Supervisor, the Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Supervisor with programmatic direct client services and activities. Knowledgeable of program manual and compliance with federal grant regulations.
Position Responsibilities
- The Health & Wellness Program Coordinator will assist with client services and education classes, including compliance with all applicable federal grants and budget regulations, and Council on Accreditation standards.
- Will assist with daily program activities, client home visits, and completing program case files.
- Will assist with creating and implementing the health and wellness program designed to improve long-term health outcomes in refugee populations.
- Identify at-risk clients and work with them to create plans to improve health.
- Assist with health awareness campaigns to encourage preventive health.
- Ensure that services are provided in an effective and timely manner to eligible clients, and that services are being provided in a culturally appropriate manner in order to meet the needs of individual clients.
- Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner.
- Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adhere to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization, including but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
- Every employee is expected to take a solution-oriented, collaborative approach aligned with the Mission and Vision of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- At least two years’ experience in a health and wellness or social service environment with cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid vehicle liability insurance
- Must be 21 years of age
- Clean driving record
- Bilingual (preferred: Pashto, Dari (Farsi), or Spanish)
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of program manuals and operational guidelines
- Knowledge of client files documentation and record keeping
- Skilled in computer techniques, software, email and internet
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive way with people of various backgrounds
- Ability to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationships
- Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and on a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
