Community Manager
The Community Manager oversees operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. Responsibilities include personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop staff, ensure compliance with company policies.
- Financial Management: achieve high net operating income, develop budgets, monitor rent collections, reconcile vendor invoices.
- Strategic Leasing Management: develop marketing plan, execute leasing techniques, handle resident complaints, implement retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: accurate reporting, emergency team leadership, maintain property appearance, enforce safety guidelines.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Four-year experience in the housing industry or one to two years related experience.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Regular communication, repetitive motions, overtime, weekends, night hours (emergencies).
- Stand or sit for prolonged periods, move between locations.
- Ascent/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, move objects up to 25 lbs, operate tools, work in hazardous environments.
License & Equipment
- Reliable transportation for emergency on-call requirement.
Salary Range
$24,000 to $25,000 per year
