Community Manager Role
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. You will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration and risk management, ensuring compliance with Asset’s policies, safety, fair housing guidelines and liability concerns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management – screen, hire, train, coach, develop and supervise on‑site staff; maintain staff compliance with company policies.
- Financial Management – achieve optimal net operating income through cost control, revenue and leasing improvement; develop yearly operating budgets and forecasts.
- Strategic Leasing Management – develop marketing plans, execute leasing techniques, manage resident complaints and retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management – maintain property appearance, coordinate emergency response, monitor maintenance requests and service turnaround.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four‑year experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of on‑site software functions.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Work overtime, weekends and nights for emergencies.
- Stand, sit, move, and lift up to 25 lbs. in various environments.
- Operate ladders, scaffolding, and power tools; travel in all weather conditions.
License/Equipment
- Reliable transportation required for emergency on‑call duties.
Salary Range
Salary Range: $23 per hour to $26 per hour
