Community Manager
The Community Manager oversees all operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. Responsibilities encompass personnel, leasing, maintenance, finance, administration, risk management, and compliance with Asset’s policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management – Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff.
- Maintain daily onsite presence and manage staff schedules.
- Address performance issues, document appropriately, and recommend terminations when necessary.
- Promote staff harmony and job performance through supportive leadership.
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies.
- Financial Management – Control costs, improve revenue and leasing, develop yearly budgets/forecasts, and monitor rent collections and vendor payments for accuracy.
- Strategic Leasing Management – Develop marketing plans, secure leases, handle resident complaints, and implement retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management – Oversee reporting, emergency response, customer service, property appearance, and efficient use of equipment and supplies.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of housing industry experience.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with on‑site software.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motions and ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours.
- Stand, sit, and move throughout the workplace; sometimes ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
- Operate tools, machinery, and motor vehicles as required; work in varied environmental conditions.
License and Equipment
- Reliable transportation needed for emergency on‑call duties.
Salarï
Salary Range: $22 per hour to $26 per hour
