Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer – Jacobs
Base pay range:
$102,900.00/yr – $135,075.00/yr
Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, working within a multidisciplinary team to develop and finalize design documents.
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
Prepare final construction documents for systems such as chilled water, cooling water, and related plant.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration.
Ensure project schedules and technical quality are met while collaborating with the project team.
Qualifications
At least ten (10) years of experience in HVAC system design for industrial facilities.
Proficiency in Revit.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
Preferred Experience
Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
Experience in plumbing/utility system design.
