We're looking for an experienced, high‑energy HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside our team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems.
Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
Develop final construction documents for HVAC systems (chilled water, cooling water, etc.).
Coordinate with other disciplines.
Qualifications
At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
Proficiency in Revit.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
Preferred Experience
Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
