Assistant Community Manager
Under the supervision of the Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager oversees the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community, playing a vital role in managing rent delinquency and collections to optimize cash flow.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Responsible for posting all payments and income, reconciling daily account receivables, monitoring bad debt, preparing late notices, managing budgeted revenues, posting charges, end‑of‑month closing, maintaining accurate records, and walking units for move‑out charges.
- Personnel Management: Requires daily onsite attendance, screening, hiring, training staff, ensuring compliance with policies, coaching, promoting staff performance, overseeing leasing procedures, marketing strategies, resident complaints, retention programs, and showing and leasing prospective residents.
- Administrative Management: Manages customer service, monitors service requests, maintains property appearance, supervises operations, plans resources, and handles vendor procurement.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry, or one to two years related experience.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Stationary, standing or sitting for prolonged periods; repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions; ability to move between work sites.
- Occasional use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs, operate machinery, and work in varying environments.
Salary Range: $19 per hour to $20 per hour
The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, commission and performance bonuses, paid sick days, and company holidays.
