Department Information: The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long‑term care facilities throughout the State. The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi‑Cal program.
Job Description and Duties (Pending HR Approval)
Under the general direction of the Integrated Communications Manager, Staff Services Manager II, the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) leads for creative content, digital communications, and visual strategy.
Responsible for planning, design, and execution of comprehensive communication initiatives that enhance public engagement and awareness of the CDA’s outreach and digital media efforts.
Ensure all communication materials reflect CDA’s mission, values, and standards.
Lead the design, production, and publication of visual, written, and multimedia materials to support the Master Plan for Aging and Older Americans Act programs while maintaining consistency with CDA brand and web governance standards.
Qualifications and Application Instructions
