Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for an UX Design Strategist / Service Designer!
This is a remote position requiring the ability to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
The role exists to drive the design strategy and user experience vision for a complex enterprise software suite, aligning business objectives with user-centered design and delivering scalable, data-informed solutions that enhance customer and business outcomes.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, HCI, Business Strategy, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in design strategy, service design, experience design, or product design-ideally within enterprise SaaS, complex workflows, regulatory, or industrial domains.
• Proven success translating user research, market insights, and business objectives into actionable design direction and tangible outcomes such as journeys, ecosystems, service blueprints, and modular design systems.
• Experience engaging with enterprise users across complex domains (e.g., compliance, sustainability, supply chain, EHS, data-intensive workflows).
• Strong storytelling and communication skills - able to present strategic narratives, design rationale, and business impact effectively to executive stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, influence cross-functional partners, and drive strategic initiatives that shape direction in large organizations.
• Excellent collaboration skills - partnering closely with product management, engineering, research, and operations.
• Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and familiarity with modular design systems, design tokens, component libraries, and UX architecture.
• Passion for mission-driven work, especially in sustainability, safety, responsible innovation, and enterprise software serving global users.

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

• Define and communicate the design vision, strategy, and roadmap for an enterprise software suite, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
• Conduct and synthesize user, market, and competitive research to inform product direction, service ecosystems, workflows, and design systems.
• Develop strategic design artifacts including service blueprints, experience maps, journey maps, ecosystem diagrams, and design principles.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to translate strategy into actionable design execution - guiding UX/UI, IA, interaction models, and content strategy.
• Elevate the product experience through consistent enterprise-grade design language, UI/UX patterns, and modular design systems.
• Facilitate cross-functional design workshops and co-creation sessions to ensure design decisions align with business value and user outcomes.
• Establish and evolve methodologies, processes, and governance for design strategy within the organization.
• Measure and communicate the impact of design strategy on key outcomes such as user engagement, adoption, and business KPIs.
• Mentor and influence other designers, researchers, and product stakeholders to foster design maturity across the team.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $63.05 - $83.05 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
