Assistant Community Manager
Asset Living is a third‑party management firm founded in 1986 that partners with communities nationwide across multifamily, single‑family rentals, affordable housing, build‑to‑rent, active adult, and student housing divisions.
The Assistant Community Manager operates under the supervision of the Community Manager, overseeing daily operations and financial functions to optimize cash flow and property performance. The role includes personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: posting payments, reconciling receivables, monitoring bad debt, supporting budgeted revenues, posting resident charges, end‑of‑month closing.
- Personnel Management: onsite attendance, screening, hiring, training, coaching staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, promoting teamwork.
- Leasing Management: effective leasing techniques, resident retention programs, marketing strategies, resident complaints resolution.
- Administrative Management: customer service, maintenance request monitoring, property inspections, vendor bid management, business function supervision.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2+ years in housing industry, or comparable education and experience.
- Basic computer skills; ability to operate onsite software.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Regular standing or sitting; lifting up to 25 lbs; work in confined spaces, outdoors, and varying temperatures.
- Availability for overtime, weekends, night hours as emergencies arise.
Compensation
Salary Range: $28–$30 per hour.
