Activity Therapist . The Activity Therapist conducts activity therapy to improve functioning and independence and provides activity resources and opportunities for all patients, focusing on improving health and well-being. Responsibilities include: Conduct activity assessments on patients Lead therapeutic activity groups Maintain the health and safety of patients Complete and document evaluations of progress Participate in treatment teams Shift/Hours: Full-time, varied. Education : Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, OR Bachelor’s Degree in an associated discipline with Certified Recreation Therapist (CTRS) certification. Licensure/Certification : Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Physical Therapist, Certified Recreation Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor. Experience : Two (2) years’ experience providing Activity Therapy; preferred minimum of two (2) years in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents and adult populations.
