Details DEPARTMENT: Anchorage Health Department HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekends are required. LOCATION OF WORK: 825 L Street Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40. To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances. Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA. Qualifications Associates degree in Nursing, and experience in public or private health care. OR Bachelors degree in Nursing, and experience in public or private health care. All Applicants Must Possess Or Obtain Valid State of Alaska Driver's License at time of hire. Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License by time of hire OR if an applicant is not currently licensed in Alaska, a temporary Alaska Nursing License must be obtained by the time of hire. (Regular license must be obtained within 180 days of hire.) Current American Red Cross/American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) or equivalent within 90 days of hire. AHD HIPAA certification within 30 days of hire.
