The Director of Influencer Strategy will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Claire’s influencer marketing initiatives. This leader will craft an ecosystem that connects creators, community, and culture—translating Claire’s brand evolution into authentic social engagement and measurable growth across platforms.

You’ll partner closely with the brand marketing, social media, PR, and retail teams to elevate Claire’s cultural relevance and drive awareness, affinity, and conversion among Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers. Social media is a key driver of our business and the first way many of our community discovers Claire’s. Your focus will be on increasing community engagement, strengthening brand loyalty and awareness, and delivering a best‑in‑class social content experience. You will be tasked with directly translating influencer marketing efforts into tangible results that impact the bottom line of our business.

Develop and own Claire’s influencer marketing strategy—aligning creator partnerships with brand campaigns, seasonal priorities, and cultural moments.

Build and lead an internal influencer team (and agency partners) responsible for campaign ideation, negotiation, execution, and performance.

Define and manage influencer tiers (mega, macro, micro) to balance reach, engagement, and ROI across markets.

Identify trends, emerging platforms, and new content formats (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) that resonate with Claire’s audiences.

Oversee influencer budget and ensure alignment to brand KPIs.

Campaign Development & Execution Partner with creative, social, and merchandising teams to integrate influencers into key brand campaigns, launches, and store activations.

Develop creator‑driven storytelling that sets Claire’s apart as the trending destination for girls to discover fashion and beauty choices.

Build repeatable influencer programs, from an always‑on ambassador program to limited‑edition collaborations.

Develop influencer mailer strategies that balance innovation, goals, and budget considerations.

Support branded events and influencer trips from concept through execution—leading strategy, creative ideation, attendee management, and coordination with brand partners when applicable.

Manage influencer contracts, compliance, usage rights, and brand guidelines, in partnership with agency support.

Analytics & Performance Define performance metrics and reporting frameworks for influencer campaigns—tracking engagement, sentiment, conversions, and ROI.

Use data to optimize creator selection, content performance, and investment decisions.

Present learnings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership regularly.

Partnerships & Culture Cultivate strong relationships with top creators and talent agencies.

Serve as Claire’s thought leader on influencer marketing, social trends, and the creator economy.

Qualifications 8–10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, or social strategy (retail, fashion, beauty, or youth‑oriented brand experience preferred).

Deep understanding of Gen Z and Gen Alpha behaviors, creator culture, and digital.

Proven success scaling influencer programs and delivering measurable brand impact.

Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally across creative and digital teams, both internally and externally.

Strategic thinker who can build creator‑led strategies rooted in insights.

Adept in content storytelling, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it through creators/partners.

Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in influencer analytics platforms (CreatorIQ, Sprout Social).
